Our Picks For The Best Juki Sewing Machines:
More About The Juki DDL 8700
This Juki sewing machine is surprisingly lightweight, but don’t think it can’t work hard too. It’s really more of an industrial sewing machine, although beginners will find it easy to start with for home sewing. One of the best things about the DDL 8700 is that it comes as a complete sewing machine set. Not only that, we were pleasantly surprised to see that everything was already assembled. If you want a sewing machine you can unbox and then get right to work, this one is worth another look.
When you think of industrial, professional grade sewing machines, you’re probably thinking about a lot of noise too. We were really pleased with how quiet it is when the motor’s running. That said, don’t worry about losing power because you’re getting a quiet motor. This machine has a servo motor that runs at 110V, so you still have a high powered machine, without the noise of a clutch motor.
We’d highly recommend this machine if you need to tailor clothing, or create new garments from scratch. While the machine can speed up to 5,500 stitches per minute, you don’t have to go at max speed. There’s a handy adjustment dial so you can slow it down for thicker fabrics like denim and canvas. This has the highest speed of any of the machines we reviewed, and it’s actually quite a task to find machines that can rival its speed.
While the super speed might be overwhelming to a novice, professional tailors and garment makers get a huge leap ahead.
Another huge appeal of this model is that it’s all around easy. There’s nothing too complicated to fumble with, and the operation is more straightforward than a lot of similar machines. There’s even a sewing light to help you see the stitches better.
One thing we also loved is how low maintenance it is. Because it includes an auto lubricating system, you really don’t need to do much aside from changing out your thread and needle from time to time.

More About The Juki MO 735
The Juki MO 735 is more than just a sewing machine. In fact, it’s actually a serger. However, we really had to check out what it can do, since it’s gotten a lot of hype for all its different features. When it comes down to it, this is a machine that you can still use to create a full garment, not just finish one.
We’ll start with how threading and getting it set up was. Thankfully, it uses a lay-in threading system. If you’re not familiar with the term, the one thing you need to know is that it makes threading much easier.
Not only that, everything is laid out with numbering and color coding. If you’re like us, and dread having to keep referencing the manual, that’s a big bonus. This serger also does most of the threading for you, since it has an automatic needle looper. The shorter and easier the setup work is, the better. We loved being able to get going right away.
We definitely appreciated how easy it is to use, and create different designs too. A simple dial is all you need to change how wide the seams are, and cut your material exactly where you want it. The presser foot is another unique feature that we have to mention. Yes, we’re aware that a presser foot isn’t unique among sewing machines.
That said, this presser foot goes farther than others. It’s easy to add another fabric for edging your piece, or combine two pieces of material. The presser foot allows you to make overlock stitches, hassle free. It even works with tough materials like elastic, or really heavy duty materials.
The creativity it allows is impressive. Of course, it includes things you’d expect, like chain stitching and safety stitching. However, there are also an impressive 24 different stitch options to choose from.

More About The Juki DNU 1541
One reason we had to include the Juki DNU 1541 in our reviews was how well it handles tough materials. Some sewing machines can do just about everything, but struggle with certain materials. Leather and canvas are known to be some of the most difficult materials to work with, simply because a lot of machines can’t handle them.
The same can be said for fabrics like denim, or even vinyl. We’re happy to report that this sewing machine really breezes through even the thickest, hardest to feed materials.
This is another Juki model that includes a servo motor. As we mentioned earlier, servo motors are efficient, and quiet. They also use less energy, and can be adjusted, unlike most clutch motors. It also reduces the overall weight of the machine, which is a nice bonus whether you move it around, or just want easier setup. It has good speed too, and can go up to 3,000 stitches per minute.
This is a machine that’s accessible enough for beginners for home sewing or for those with a little experience. However, it also has the features you’re really looking for if you’re a professional. It has adjustable speed, and it’s much faster than your typical sewing machine. It also has an automatic reverse feed system.
We love a machine with automatic reverse feed because it’s really the best way to double back and make sure your stitches are locked and secure.
Another winning feature is that it’s ready to use, more or less as soon as you take it out of the box. It even includes the table, which also comes fully assembled. When you want speed and convenience all in one package, you’ll want to check out the Juki DNU 1541.

More About The Juki Hzl-F300
This Juki model is fairly different from the others we’ve included in our reviews. One thing we really like about it is that you get the benefits of a computerized sewing machine, but it’s still very user friendly. We’d recommend this to anyone that wants to start making the switch to a digital machine, but isn’t sure about the full-on computerized aspect. It works with the simplicity of a mechanical model, but the upgrades of a digital sewing machine.
When going through the built in stitches, we were surprised to find it includes a grand total of 106 different stitches to choose from. Don’t worry if you’re just getting started out, though. The digital display makes it easy to choose your stitch, and see what you’re working on.
We love how easy it is to use. We’re not just talking about operation either, although that was a big point that got us sold on this machine. It feels like there’s a lot more working space than other machines.
It’s a nice change from some machines that leave you feeling cramped after only a little time working. However, the bobbin system was another one of our favorite features. Nobody likes struggling with threading or winding a bobbin, ourselves included.
This Juki sewing machine has an easy wind bobbin. If you haven’t used one before, it makes a big difference. It’s literally a three step process. Just set the bobbin, wind some thread around it, and put your foot on the pedal. That alone is a huge convenience and time saver, whether you’ve never made a stitch or you’ve been sewing for years.
It’s not a huge machine, but it’s definitely made of sturdy materials. While it’s a little on the heavier side, it’s not so heavy that it’s an inconvenience. In this case, we’d consider a positive feature since it shows durability.

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Juki Sewing Machine
If you’re ready to get a Juki sewing machine, but not sure where to start, this section is for you. Here are the most important factors to look at:
Stitches Per Minute
The stitching speed makes a big difference in your overall experience with your sewing machine. Juki is a brand that offers impressively fast sewing machines, even when put head to head with other brands. Professional tailors will find that more speed is a huge benefit. However, beginners may choose something a little slower to start on.
The motor is what really determines how much power your sewing machine has. While you do have to deal with more weight for a more powerful motor, you can also stitch much faster. Servo motors are common in many Juki machines because they’re still strong, but also quieter and lighter than clutch motors.
Weight and Size
If you need to take your sewing machine on the go, this might be one of the most important factors for you. Sewing machines come in all sizes, and different weights. The larger and heavier the machine, the more you’ll need to get comfortable working with it.
If you’re more experienced, this won’t have much bearing on the work you do. However, if you’re a beginner, a smaller machine is usually more comfortable.
Built in and Preset Stitches
Whether it’s a digital or mechanical sewing machine, there should be some stitches included. The more preset patterns you have, the more you can get creative with your projects. The number of stitches you look for really comes down to personal preference, however.
A nice thing about having extra stitches to choose from is that it can really speed up the process when you want to add a little something special to a project. However, keep in mind that the more stitches are included, the higher the price tag usually is too.
We’ve looked at four of the top Juki sewing machines, tested, and reviewed them to give you the details you need. There’s a sewing machine for every type of person on our list, whether you’re just starting, or were practically born sewing.
The great thing about Juki sewing machines is that no matter what, they all have a good dose of versatility and high quality construction. If you still can’t decide which is best for you, take a look at our factors to consider, and weigh them with your experience, and intended use.
